Madrid Public Library Upcoming Events
Resume Writing Class The Madrid Public Library will partner with Iowa Workforce Development on Monday, January 30, 2012 for a resume workshop. The workshop will be from 9:00 to 3:00 in the library and will be taught by Deb Mascaro of IWD. This workshop is free and open to anyone who is interested, materials will be provided free of charge, but you must pre-register for this class. You can call the library at 515-795-3846 to register or if you need more information.
Puppet show tryouts for grades 4, 5 and 6 Try-outs for the annual puppet show will be on Wednesday, January 25 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. Kids in grades 4, 5 or 6 are welcome to try out. Practices will be on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30. The final performance will be on Sunday, March 18, 2012. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the library and ask for Angie or Steph.
Lego Creation Day Mark your calendar for a fun Lego Creation Day on Tuesday, February 7, from 1:30 - 3:00 pm at the Madrid Public Library. Children ages 4 and up can build a masterpiece using the library's legos or you can bring your own.

instead of our normal storytime Stephanie will offer a special lunchtime storytime.
Children of any age and their parents can bring a sack lunch and drink
and Stephanie will be reading several “lunch” themed books.
The Lunch Bunch begins at 11:00 am and will end at 11:30am.
